The guides are free and always will be. This page is how I earn a living: I'm a real estate agent on the Côte d'Azur, and most of my clients are English speakers buying or selling here for the first time.
What that looks like in practice: I speak both sides of the transaction. I know what a French seller means by libre and what a British buyer means by chain-free, and they are not the same conversation. I have sat through the préfecture queues myself, twice, so I know what a foreign buyer's file actually needs before a notaire will smile at it.

Selling
Priced for this market, not last year's
An honest valuation, the diagnostics ordered in the right order, and photographs that don't oversell. Foreign owners selling from abroad are a large part of what I do.
Inherited or emptying a house
The one nobody prepares you for
My husband organises house clearances across the region: he sorts and values what is there, sells the pieces worth selling on the owner's behalf, gives what can be given to charities and makes sure the rest is properly recycled. The good pieces can go to auction at Drouot in Paris, when that is where they will find their price. And whatever you want to keep, we handle that too: the packing, and shipping it abroad through our transport partner, whom we deal with directly. Between us we handle the whole thing, from the first sort to the signature at the notaire. That's the subject of Vol. 3.
Just orienting
A conversation costs nothing
Plenty of people write a year before they move. That's the right time to ask, and I answer anyway.
